San Ġiljan MAA Daikin overturned a three-goal deficit with eight minutes left to beat Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate 11–10 in the President's Cup on June 17, 2026, at the National Pool Complex, outscoring their rivals 5–1 in the final quarter. Nikolai Zammit finished with four goals, his late strikes settling the contest. Sliema had looked entirely in command for three periods.
Sliema led 5–2 after the first quarter, held a 7–5 advantage at the break, and stretched clear to 9–6 by the end of the third. Alberto Barroso was their sharpest attacker with four goals. Elijah Schembri fouled out during the third period, removing a player from their attacking options.
Sliema scored only once in the fourth quarter while conceding five, as Zammit steadily closed and then overturned the gap. The second President's Cup fixture still ran to 33 goals. Sir Build Fitness and Neptunes BGM were level at 4–4 after the opening quarter before Sir Build moved clear, leading 9–7 at halftime and eventually running out 18–15 winners.

Valletta shut Otters out entirely in the opening quarter to lead 4–0, extended to 9–3 by the break, and closed out with a 6–2 fourth period after the sides had split the third quarter evenly at 5–5. Lazar Vickovic led Valletta's tally with four goals, and seven different Valletta players scored multiple times. Giorgio La Rosa replied with six for Otters, who trailed from the opening minute.
