The BOV Foundation's Social Inclusion Pillar focuses on creating opportunities, supporting well-being, encouraging inclusion, and helping people overcome challenges. Three partnerships put that commitment into practice: the BOV Piggy Bank Campaign, a collaboration with Julian's Pathfinder Foundation, and a programme run with the Karl Vella Foundation. The Piggy Bank Campaign, run with the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation for more than twenty years, encourages children across Malta and Gozo to donate to charitable causes.
Julian's Pathfinder Foundation receives BOV Foundation support to deliver specialised educational programmes and enrichment opportunities for gifted and talented young people. Through the Karl Vella Foundation's 'Because You Matter' Programme, the BOV Foundation provides emotional and psychological support for individuals and families who must travel abroad for specialised medical treatment. All three initiatives sit within the BOV Foundation's broader ESG approach, with the foundation treating the social dimension as a key measure of organisational value alongside environmental and governance considerations.
