Walter Arciola has been appointed President of Sliema Wanderers FC, the club announced, with Andrea Zammit Tabona stepping in as Vice President and Alex Muscat taking on the role of Club Secretary. The three appointments form the spine of a new leadership structure at the Blues, unveiled alongside a freshly constituted Committee and Sub-Committee ahead of the coming season.
Arciola, who has followed the club since childhood, did not downplay the responsibility. "We will work every day to honour the name of Sliema Wanderers and the entire community that loves this club so much," he said. Legal affairs will be managed jointly by Dr Joseph Giglio, who holds a Nationalist Party affiliation, and Dr Kris Busietta.
In its official statement, the club framed the reshuffle as the start of a new chapter, describing the incoming leadership as driven by renewed ambition and a shared vision for the future. Sliema Wanderers added that the new team intends to build on the club's history while pushing for growth on and off the pitch.
