Maltese international midfielder Teddy Teuma is a free agent after his short-term Standard Liège deal ran to the end of the 2025–26 season, and Talk.mt reports that he has held talks with Sliema Wanderers about a possible move to the Malta Premier League. The report also says Greek clubs have shown concrete interest. No deal has been finalised and neither Sliema Wanderers, Teuma nor his representatives have confirmed the talks publicly.

Standard Liège announced Teuma's arrival on 16 January 2026 on a contract through the end of that season, with any extension to be discussed after 30 June. The club did not renew the deal. As of this article's publication on 19 July 2026, Teuma is without a club and free to negotiate.

A Sliema move would not be a return to Maltese club football. Teuma's senior career has been built in France and Belgium – including spells with Union Saint-Gilloise and Stade de Reims before the Standard stint – rather than in the Malta Premier League.

Neither Talk.mt nor other reports name the Greek clubs said to be interested. Until Sliema Wanderers or the player confirm otherwise, the Sliema talks remain unconfirmed rumour based on Talk.mt's account.
