Updated 21 July 2026: Sliema Wanderers have confirmed Teddy Teuma's signing. This article was first published on 19 July 2026, when talks with the club were still unconfirmed.
Malta international midfielder Teddy Teuma has joined Sliema Wanderers on a two-year contract, announced at a club press conference on 21 July 2026. Club president Walter Arciola presented the deal alongside other recent Blues signings, and Teuma said he was happy to join the club's new project and settle in Malta.
The move ends Teuma's spell as a free agent. Standard Liège had announced his arrival on 16 January 2026 on a contract through the end of the 2025–26 season, with any extension to be discussed after 30 June. That deal was not renewed.
This is Teuma's first senior club spell in Malta, not a return to Maltese club football. His club career has been built in France and Belgium – including Union Saint-Gilloise and Stade de Reims before the short Standard Liège stint.
On 19 July 2026, before the announcement, Talk.mt had reported that Teuma was exploring a Malta Premier move and had held talks with Sliema Wanderers. The club has now made the signing official.
