Where to board in Sliema

Both the Valletta ferry and the Gozo fast ferry use the landing stages on the Strand, the seafront facing Manoel Island and Valletta. The area is known as Sliema Ferries.

  • On foot: walk down to the seafront and follow the Strand to the signposted ferry pontoons.
  • By bus: the stops named Ferries 1 to 5 are a minute or two from the landing. Routes include 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 202, 203, 212, 222, 225 and 233, and the TD3 airport express stops at Ferries 3. See Sliema buses for where each route goes.
  • By car: parking along the Strand is limited, especially in summer, so allow extra time or arrive by bus or taxi.
