Birkirkara Beach Soccer's women's team won the Women's Beach Soccer Championship for the first time under their name, defeating Sliema 8–7 in a penalty shootout in the final at Pretty Bay in Birżebbuġa. A shootout was needed to separate the two sides. The final was a close contest throughout.

Birkirkara and Sliema were locked together until the shootout decided it, with Birkirkara converting enough penalties to take the title 8–7. Player Shakira Bugeja described what the result meant: "This was a win that means a lot to us."

The championship was held at Bajja s-Sabiħa, known in English as Pretty Bay, on the southern coast of Birżebbuġa. The venue hosted what was, under the Birkirkara Beach Soccer name, a first Women's Beach Soccer Championship title for the club's women's side.
