Wife of hostel operator allegedly threatens journalist following coverage of tenant eviction case in Sliema accommodation facility.
Josielle Gaffarena, whose husband Mark Gaffarena operates a hostel in Sliema, allegedly threatened a journalist after coverage of irregularities at the accommodation, The Maltese Herald reported.
The reporting concerned a Pakistani tenant identified as Muhammad, who was allegedly evicted from the Sliema hostel after raising concerns with authorities about conditions or practices at the premises.
After that story was published, Josielle Gaffarena allegedly made direct threats towards the journalist who wrote it.
