Diego Camara Calleja put Sliema ahead midway through the first half, finishing a cross from Brian Gambarte, The Maltese Herald reported. Semir Smajlagic equalised for Marsaxlokk on the half-hour with a shot that took a deflection off Alexander Satariano. Just before half-time, Vlatko Drobarov headed in a free-kick to restore Sliema's lead.
