Argentine offensive midfielder Brian Gambarte is in advanced discussions to join Sliema Wanderers FC, with sources close to the situation describing the talks as nearing a conclusion. Gambarte established himself as one of Żabbar St. Patrick's most influential attacking players during his time at the club.
His form earned him a contract extension in 2024, which was set to run until 2026. Despite that arrangement, his contract with Żabbar St. Patrick FC has now come to an end and sources indicate he is close to opening a new chapter by joining Sliema Wanderers.
The circumstances behind his early departure from Żabbar remain unconfirmed by either club. Neither Żabbar St. Patrick FC nor Sliema Wanderers has issued an official statement addressing the move, any transfer fee or any contract terms.
