Sliema Wanderers extended their winning run to three matches with a 3–1 victory over Mosta on 14 September 2026. Gustavo Alcino struck first in the sixth minute, firing past goalkeeper David Akpan, before Nikolaos Karelis doubled the lead ten minutes later with a finish into the bottom corner. Mosta pressed in the first half but created little clear chance.

Goalkeeper Henry Bonello made a sharp save in stoppage time, turning behind an acrobatic effort from Giancarlo Goncalves, who also delivered a low cross to Nevin Portelli – but Portelli could not make contact from close range. Goncalves eventually beat Bonello in the 60th minute, chipping over the advancing goalkeeper to make it 2–1. Mosta came close to levelling nine minutes later when a powerful Goncalves drive, set up by a lay-off from Prince, flashed narrowly past the post.

Malta international Alex Satariano was denied by Akpan in the 74th minute. Three points secured. Sliema sealed the result deep into added time when Anthony Limbombe's cross-shot was parried by Akpan and Brian Gambarte stabbed home the rebound to make it 3–1.
